Large weddings are lots and lots of fun, there’s a feel in the air about the day. However, there is also something totally amazing and special when couples choose to have a small ceremony or elope. There is this relaxed, in the moment, soft feel to the day. It’s always pretty special to be a part of. It feels like you are invited to see a special glimpse into a secret world – like Narnia. So I was honored when Haley & Krayton asked me to capture their celebrating of marriage in Boerne at the Cibolo Nature Center in the Texas Hill Country before their big celebration in Mexico.
We planned the day around their courthouse vows. No easy task as the courthouse in Bexar County is a first come first serve. We had no idea how long they could be waiting to get married. Would there be a long line? Would it be quick? I said to them: no worries! I agreed that I would be on call for them for the afternoon. When they gave me the call that we were good to go, I hopped in my car and headed out to meet them.
And it was all worth the waiting. Look at these two! No amount of traffic or clouds that day in the Hill Country could keep their love from shining. I’m pretty sure their love is what convinced the sun to come out and play for some stunning images. I know this intimate Texas Hill Country wedding of theirs will forever be special.
